Workplace Harassment Prevention $25

Workplaces in Canada have regulations which require Employers to protect the health, safety and well-being of their employees. Having a workplace which is free of harassing behaviour, where people treat other people with respect is essential for a healthy and productive organization.


Workplace Violence Prevention $25

Workplaces in Canada have regulations which require Employers to protect the health, safety and well-being of their employees. All workplaces have some risk of violence, or may develop a risk of violence based on changing workplace conditions. Employers must conduct a risk assessment and develop appropriate violence prevention policy and procedures to protect the health and safety of their employees.


Ergonomics and MSI Prevention $35

The process for preventing MSDs in the workplace can be simple. Any workplace can start to prevent MSDs by assessing the risks, creating job descriptions that include physical demands for the task, and using education and training with ongoing communication to improve their MSD prevention efforts. It is important to remember the benefits to everyone in the organization.


Slip Trip and Fall $35

Slip, Trip and Fall incidents are one of the biggest contributors to Lost Time Injuries in the workplace. Every employer needs to educate and train employees on the hazards that lead to these incidents and their prevention plan.


Workplace Fire Safety Awareness $25

This is a Fire Safety Awareness course intended to increase the awareness of how fires are started, some common fire prevention procedures, and general emergency response practices.


Workplace Inspection $30

Workplace Inspections are an important part of a health and safety program. Most jurisdictions (Federal or Provincial in Canada require Employers to conduct regular inspections. It is important that everyone is aware of the inspection process and their role in participating in or conducting a workplace inspection.


Safe Person in a Safe Place: Safety Orientation $55

This safety orientation training course is a core safety program intended for all employees at all levels. Safe People is the behaviour part of your safety program and this course helps your employees to see their role in safety. Safe Place is the workplace part of the solution. Businesses are made up of people and resources. Safety orientation training is an important investment in both. It starts by demonstrating to newly hired employees that safety is important and what that looks like in terms of their behaviour and in their workplace. Regular reinforcement will help to reinforce this message and ensure safe thinking leads to safe results.

Course outline:

  1. Introduction: WHY, the why behind safety training. This module covers the reasons WHY safety is so important to each of us as individuals and to all of us as an organization.
  2. Hazards: identification and types of hazards in the workplace, how to assess risks and implement controls.
  3. Workplace Inspections: The objective of this module is to increase the understanding of the role that workplace inspections play in a health and safety program. It explains how to plan an inspection, and provides some tools for conducting inspections and to record findings.
  4. Incident Investigation: this module is developed from an understanding that incidents don’t just happen – they are caused, and that every incident can be prevented if the causes are eliminated.
  5. Motivated People: this module identifies the ways in which the concepts and principles identified in the first four modules can be used to motivate people to achieve health and safety objectives and demonstrate due diligence.

Violence Prevention in the Workplace $35

This Violence Prevention training course is intended for all Employers who have employees and can include Volunteers who are required to provide awareness education on what is considered Violence in the Workplace, and the steps the organization has taken to prevent Violence in the workplace. It is part of the Safety and Health regulations in some Provinces which requires that Employers demonstrate a commitment to increasing awareness of what is considered Violent behaviour; and that such behaviour will not be tolerated.

For Ontario Workers and Employers Only:


Ontarians with Disabilities: Customer Service $25

Everyone working in an Ontario workplace is required to be trained on providing Customer Service for persons with disabilities under the AODA.

This course content is based on the 8 learning units provided by the Ontario Ministry of Labour as a training tool for employers to develop their customer service plan and educate their employees on this plan, their policies, practices and procedures relating to providing customer service to people with disabilities in your workplace.  Units 9 through 12 provide a framework for implementing your Customer Service plan.

When you have 20 or more employees you must have a written Customer Service Plan with addresses the criteria specific to providing service to person with disabilities.


Ontario Health and Safety Awareness for Supervisors $15

SUPERVISOR SAFETY AWARENESS FOR ONTARIO COMPANIES ONLY

A new regulation (Bill 160) will require Safety Awareness training for every worker and supervisor under Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). The regulation comes into effect July 1, 2014. Employers are required to provide training and to produce training records on request, as certificates or training records.

This is the SUPERVISOR level of the Safety Awareness training and has been created using the training guide and training criteria set by the Ministry of Labour for this course.


Ontario Health and Safety Awareness for Workers $15

WORKER SAFETY AWARENESS FOR ONTARIO COMPANIES ONLY:

This is the WORKER level of the Safety Awareness training and has been created using the training guide and training criteria set by the Ministry of Labour for this course.
