Microsoft Word – Level 1

This course teaches trainees how to create and edit documents, save, open and close documents, apply formatting options, set tabs and indents, change the view mode, manipulate the text using features such as copy/paste, and preview/print documents. This module aims to teach the information worker how to work with different types of documents using a variety of core and intermediate features to create and format business documents such as letters, forms, and newsletters.


Microsoft Word – Level 2

This module teaches trainees intermediate skills that can be combined with basic skills to create more complex documents. Trainees will learn features such as creating and formatting tables, inserting and modifying pictures or shapes, learn what merging means in relation to mass mailings, and look at different ways of sharing documents with others. Trainees will learn about automating tasks using merge features, referencing sources used in a document, organizing information by sorting and outlining, protecting documents, and collaborating on documents with others.


Microsoft Excel – Level 1

This module has been designed to reinforce workforce skills. Trainees learn to create and edit professional-looking spreadsheets for a variety of purposes and situations. Trainees work on real-world problems like the ones they will encounter in the workplace ensuring they are ready for real professional challenges.

Microsoft Excel – Level 2

This module teaches trainees how to apply basic skill sets along with some intermediate to advanced functions to manage and audit numerical reports. Trainees will learn to create and manipulate charts, work with different types of graphics, and look at various methods of analyzing, organizing, linking and sharing workbooks, learn to use advanced formatting features. teaches the information worker how to work with different types of documents using a variety of core and intermediate features to create and edit professional-looking spreadsheets for a variety of purposes and situations. Trainees will look at productivity tools to increase data entry, features to enable collaboration with others, and use various commands to analyze large numerical reports.
